Specialist in Internal Medicine and Cardiology
Ernesto Duhalde Caicedo is an experienced specialist in internal medicine, cardiology, and preventive medicine. His focus areas include cardiac diagnostics, prevention, and therapy — in particular echocardiography, exercise stress testing, long-term ECGs, and the care of patients with cardiovascular disease.
After studying human medicine at Kiel University (Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel), he completed his specialist training in internal medicine at St. Joseph Stift Bremen, followed by his cardiology specialization at the 1st Medical Clinic of the Jewish Hospital Berlin, where he gained extensive experience in core cardiac diagnostics, pacemaker therapy, and intermediate care.
His expertise covers the diagnosis and treatment of heart failure, coronary artery disease, and atrial fibrillation. During his time at the Jewish Hospital Berlin he also gained further experience in invasive coronary diagnostics and therapy — a broad background that makes him a knowledgeable point of contact for all questions around heart health and internal medicine.
As a certified specialist in preventive medicine (Deutsche Akademie für Präventivmedizin, DAPM), Mr. Duhalde Caicedo places particular emphasis on health prevention and the early detection of risk factors, including the specific considerations for women in cardiology and preventive medicine (gender medicine).
Cardiology — cardiovascular medicine — deals with the structure, function, and diseases of the heart.
